The Butterfly Commons Dedication Ceremony and Native Garden Tour at the Lakelands Community

In partnership with the City of Gaithersburg, the Chesapeake Bay Trust, and the Lakelands Community Association, Urban Ecosystem Restorations will host a sign dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Butterfly Commons at Lakelands from noon to 1 pm. A garden tour of other native gardens that have been planted around the Lakelands Community will follow.
The ceremony marks the final installation of the Eco-Functioning Space and dedicates two educational signs to designate the space as the Butterfly Commons. The ceremony will include brief remarks by City of Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman and representatives from the Chesapeake Bay Trust, Urban Ecosystem Restorations, and the Lakelands Community.
