Urban Ecosystem Restorations has joined with 17 other environmental organizations and advocates to demand that the Montgomery County Council make green infrastructure and nature-based solutions to climate change a priority for Montgomery County’s future. This plan should prioritize not only conservation but regeneration of nature in urban, suburban and rural communities alike. We can increase our forested areas and native landscapes and restore our streams — everywhere, in every community. We must do this — for our own health, as well as the health of the planet.
Let’s get this 30-year long-range plan right. View the open letter here. Then contact the County Council about it. Thank you for taking action!
