On Saturday, July 23rd, the LCA spearheaded the creation of 100 nature art tiles — each one individually designed and made by a resident of the Lakelands neighborhood. A local artist, Nanette Horan (of Positive Energy Art Studio), helped groups of 20 residents at a time combine nature and art into individual expressions of their connection with nature. These tiles will adorn the “nature art poles” that have been installed in the Short Street Nature Preserve and Play Space.
